Overview:

As an Agency Care Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work in various health and social care settings across the UK as a Florence Ambassador. You will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to individuals who require help with activities of daily living due to age, illness, disability, or other circumstances. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide personalised care and support to clients in accordance with their individual care plans and preferences.
  2. Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing.
  3. Support clients with mobility and transfers, using manual handling techniques and mobility aids as required.
  4. Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration, ensuring that dietary preferences and nutritional needs are met.
  5. Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, following established protocols and procedures.
  6. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in meaningful conversations and recreational activities.
  7. Monitor clients’ health and well-being, observing for any changes in their condition and reporting concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  8. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks and laundry as needed.
  9. Document all care provided and observations made in client care records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times.
  10. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team, demonstrating empathy, compassion, and professionalism.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience working as a Carer in the UK for 6 months or more
  2. Compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to help others and make a positive impact in their lives.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and their families.
  4. Reliable and dependable, with a flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following instructions and care plans effectively.
  6. Commitment to upholding professional standards and adhering to ethical principles in care delivery.
